Quiet, reasonably priced hotel with nice staff in countryside, metro to Stockholm centre.
Nice, quiet small hotel/apartment, with pleasant staff in a residential area north of Central Stockholm. Hotel is a 10-15 minute walk to Aspudden Metro/underground/subway station to go into Central Stockholm. My partner and I had a small double room with comfy double bed, and kitchenette, with sink, microwave, fridge, dish washer and kettle. Free tea/coffee and sugar was included for free. Room had one small desk with chair and one small bar with higher chair. Window could be opened to let in some air. Wardrobe in one corner. Bin inkitchen under sink. Plates, bowls, some cups, some glasses, some cutlery. Small bin in bathroom. 2 hand towels and 2 medium size bath towels included for free. Bath mat to put on floor. Showers has good hot water and power. Showerhead can be taken off wall. Continental breakfast costs 155 Swedish Krona per room. Large round objects on room wall to hang bags, coats etc. 2 plug sockets near bed. TV on wall.
No staff available after 7 pm at night. Staff not always available in the morning. The 2 entrance doors to the hotel open and close semi-automatically and make it difficult to exit without being hit by outer door! Not enough plug sockets in room. Long walk to/from metro station. Steps up to reception from entrance. Door to rooms and room door extremely heavy. Bathroom is small, no shelves to put objects.

What was the highlight of Avanti Apartment Hotel
Lovely apartment for visiting Stockholm
The room was very nice, and quite spacious. We really appreciated the additional amenities (the kitchenette) which made our stay more comfortable. The bed was very comfortable, and it was nice to have additional pillows and duvets. The checkin was super easy and efficient. While the hotel is not central, it is very easy to reach central Stockholm islands via metro (~15-20 min journey to Gamla Stan from the hotel). Overall really good value for the money!
Our smart tv didn’t really work, and the dishwasher was broken in our room. I thought there might be a stove from the photos on booking, but there wasn’t one - maybe they have them in other rooms though! Nothing that would deter us from staying again if we were to revisit Stockholm though!
